Hit the section of Body of Secrets where Bamford describes Operation Northwoods, a plan by the US Joint Chiefs in '61-62 to incite a war with Cuba by committing acts of domestic terrorism, including faking a passenger plane shootdown over Cuba, blowing up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay, a campaign of bombing and asassinations in US cities, and feeding bad telemetry to John Glenn's Redstone rocket in order to cause a fatal crash. In light of the Gulf of Tonkin fakeout, it really makes me wonder how the US could go from the moral imperative in WWII to such moral ambiguousness by Kent State. For all the blame laid on the "hippies" and us in Gex X, it seems the blamers have just as much to answer for concerning the erosion of ethics and morality in this country. The brambles of moral relativism received some nice fertilizer from them.

Happy New Year. Another without Bin Laden taking out Seattle, please?
