Seen on a unmemorable wine's placard at Larry's last night:
"Screw top ensures quality!"
The wine guy's tongue is firmly in cheek.

At a work meeting a couple weeks ago my boss was pouring wine that she assured us was of the highest quality. When our book keeper pointed out that it had a screw-on cap my boss looked at her and quite seriously answered "It's from New Zealand. That's how they do things there."

Probably better than the English wine I had that one time. The Brits cut it with orange juice to make something similar to a mimosa. Problem is that while an American mimosa is not a bad brunch drink all-in-all, an entire quart of orange juice wasn't enough to hide the taste of that English "sparkling" wine.
When in London, stick to beer.

I'm in the States and this wine is best left be. To Quote Eric Idle, "This is not a wine for drinking; this is a wine for laying down and avoiding".
