Annabel is a freak. I put her down last night at about 11:30. I finally got to sleep at 12:45. We woke up at 8 this morning, and she was still asleep. I gave her a bottle, and she drank it... without waking up. It's now almost 9, and she's sleeping in my lap, moving through hour number nine.
She's been sleeping through the night for six weeks. That's more than half her life. We have several friends whose 6 month olds that won't sleep in more than five hour chunks. We don't talk about Annabel's sleeping patterns with them.

Don't jinx yourself. Ours slept through the night for most of month 2 and part of month 3, but now in month 4/5 he's getting up 3 or 4 times a night.
Also don't believe people who tell you that portly babies always sleep better. 17 pounds, and he still wants to eat 3 times a night.

My kid slept through the night for the the first 4-5 months without any problems. After that time though it was a motherscratcher to get that kid to go to sleep at all. He's 3 now so we don't really have any problems sleeping through the night, but the problem now is getting him to wake up in the morning without being cranky.
