Yup, the redesign did work
Yup, the redesign did work. Joy.
I've been talking to some people about Israel's nuclear weapons program. I always thought it was one of those "legendary" things. Turns out that FAS estimates they have 200 or so nukes -- and even some neutron bombs. More info here and here.
I'm really wondering if the Palestinians should even attempt to start a war. Israel has them way outgunned, and the neighboring states have lost time and again to Israel, and if the Israelis are so provoked they will turn Damascus into a radioactive crater. Even if the Palestinians win they'll never have true independance since they'll just a be a puppet state of Syria.
Seems to me the best solution would be for Arafat to go directly to the US and work out a deal for peace, one that gives them land and restitution for their stolen lands in exchange for a normal Arab relations with Israel and a guarantee of peace. But Arafat is a coward, and there's no way in hell he'd risk his own hide, especially with Hamas awash in Iranian and Syrian money and arms.

By special request
By special request, my meeting with Mr. Disclosed Location himself, Dick Cheney:
I was so young and thin then.

It's been a few weeks
It's been a few weeks, so an update.
Work is OK. The CO-PHP website is launched. I designed it but don't like it -- my design got squashed (not my fault), the logo graphic at the top got a last second font change that makes it look terrible (not my fault), and the nav sections are fridge avacado green (OK, this is my fault....)
Finally another station to listen to at work -- 6Music from the Beeb.
Colorado's men's basketball team sucks. The sun also rose in the east today.
